Engagement & Wellbeing

Be Awesome Day is only 1 week away! For this day to be a roaring success, we require lots and lots of donations from our wonderful community! Please refer to your child/ren’s cohort page in the newsletter to see how you can donate towards the stalls. You are welcome to check out each cohort page to see if there are any other stalls you can assist. Class teachers will communicate with each class cohort requesting parent helpers to help supervise their stall in 15-minute intervals, if required.

A Compass Event has been released so that families can provide permission for their children to participate in the Be Awesome Day festivities, including walking down to the Spring Gully Cricket Oval for the Colour Run at 2pm. Your child's 'passport' can also be paid for through this process. If you have not already done so, please go to Events in Compass to provide permission and payment.

Finally, we also require volunteers to cook our sausage sizzle on the day. If you are willing and able, please contact us via lauren.schulz@education.vic.gov.au.

This is our major school fundraiser and we couldn’t do this without your support. We thank you in advance for your generosity!

Be Awesome Team

RRRR

1/2 Rodda/Brewer have recently been exploring the idea of fair play. For this lesson, students were organised into small groups to play a game and each group chose from Connect 4, Go Fish and Snap.

All groups were having a great time playing together, but following all the fun we had a good discussion around rules and how rules help to keep games safe and fun. We also identified that when people don’t follow the rules conflict can result. Following the discussion about conflict and how we might try to resolve it, the students discussed that all students (both boys and girls) must follow the rules to ensure play is friendly and fair.

SWPBS

Students at Spring Gully have absolutely loved our whole school rewards this year. There is always so much excitement at assembly when these rewards are being announced each term.

The SWPBS team have made some minor changes to the rewards for this term and we are excited for all students to find out what they are, on Friday.

Students are continuing to cash their stickers in for some great rewards. See below one of the great rewards that Grade 3/4 students are able to earn for 50 stickers.

Delainey, Jasmin and Tilly all spent 50 stickers each to go to the CAFE for lunch on Tuesday.
