Heroes Week

Heroes Week was celebrated in the Library from the 23rd to 27th October. The week celebrated Real Life Heroes and Superheroes.

A window display of students’ and teachers’ real-life heroes saw famous people, community members, parents and teachers acknowledged for the ways they inspire us.

Students enjoyed creating their own imaginative Superhero or Villain and then voting on them.

We played a group game guessing if scenarios belonged to real life heroes or Superheroes and students were surprised to learn about some real-life heroes, including a man whose special antibodies in his blood has saved over 2 million babies and an undocumented immigrant in France who risked his life to scale four stories and rescue a toddler.

Our Blooket Quizes on Superheroes – D.C. and Marvel was also a success.  We had a basic quiz and an advanced quiz aimed at mega fans, followed by a specialist “Lantern” Quiz.

Congratulations to all the students who participated and showed great sportsmanship, cheering on the winners and placegetters.
