News of the Week

Dear Parents/Carers,

School Production

Wow, what an amazing job our children did on Thursday night - they were consummate professionals, who did their dance act and finale so well. I could not have been prouder of them. I have to give a special mention to our cast and the behind the scenes students - what a wonderful job you did as well.

I would also like to thank the staff who chose to ‘perform’ on the night! We did have so much fun doing ‘aerobics’ every morning (and I still managed to miss a step or 2!)

Harper S - I was very nervous but I had lots of fun.

Jameson F - I had a really fun time.

Alannah R - It was really fun and everyone enjoyed it.  The people loved it.  We all tried our best.

Mato B - Everyone tried their best and did everything correct.  We weren't scared, I think we were very brave.

Tahlia X - I thought it was interesting and fun to be on the stage.

Ethan R - It was very fun and crazy and everyone gave it their best shot.

Lucy W - It was a really fun time being backstage with everyone.  It was great to be able show everyone our hard work.

Declan R - It was amazing and everyone tried their best especially when they made a mistake.  The 'Teachers Dance' was amazing.

Foundation Transition

It was wonderful to welcome our Foundation 2024 students and their families for our first transition session this morning.  There was great excitement and everyone left with big smiles on their faces.  They will join us each Thursday for the next three weeks.

Tabloid Sports

We are looking forward to our Tabloid Sports on Friday.  We are starting the day at 9.30am and hope to be finished by 12.30pm. It looks like it is going to be a warm day so can you please make sure the children are sunblocked, have a water bottle and they must have their hat.

We will finish the day with an assembly to announce the winners. Parents are more than welcome to attend and help out or cheer the children on!

Drink Containers Recycling Scheme

The Victorian Government has recently introduced a recycling initiative called “CDS Vic” where we can exchange eligible drink containers for 10 cents. We have created an account but it is ‘pending’. When the account is activated we will send out the Donation Partner ID and the barcode if you would like to donate your bottles etc to the school. You can take your bottles, cans etc to your nearest collection point.

Please feel free to go onto the CDS Vic website to find out more about what this great initiative.

1/2 Camping Experience

The 1/2 classes were very excited coming to school in casual clothes today ready for their camping experiences. They have many exciting activities to do - circus acts, dancing, afternoon tea and of course dinner!

TheirCare

Thank you to all those who have responded to the survey. If you have not done so can you please do so. It just gives the providers a general idea of numbers. This helps TheirCare know how many staff to provide. If you have not done so you can start to register your child/ren for the 2024 school year.  Click here: ThierCare Survey

Team Kids

TeamKids are finishing at the end of this school year. We have school closure days on Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th, Wednesday 20th December. If  you need to use TeamKids for these days book them in as soon as you can. They  need 10 children per day to open the service.
