End of Daylight Savings

This weekend is the end of Daylight Savings, we hope you enjoy the extra hour and set your clocks back overnight Saturday.

This is a good opportunity to remind families to please arrive at School after 8.30am. Staff participate in devotions each morning and get ready for the day and are ready to supervise your child when classrooms open at 8.30am. Thank you for supervising your child until the start of our school day. OSHC is available on those days where your child needs to arrive earlier than 8.30am.

End of Term Reminders

  • Last day of term, Thursday 11th April with a 2pm early dismissal.
  • Friday 12th April, Student Free Day (OSHC available).

Pilgrim Performing Arts Captains

We are pleased to announce the creation of a new leadership opportunity for our Year 6 students, which is the role of Pilgrim Performing Arts Captains. We have run an election process and the following students have been selected as the 2024 Pilgrim Performing Arts Captains:

  • Madeleine
  • Bastian
  • Kayla

Congratulations to these students! They will be providing leadership in the Pilgrim Choir as well as in other music and performing arts areas.

Congratulations Danni

Danni from Year 6, has been selected to receive the Piano Grade 6 Prize for 2023. This prize has been awarded based on Danni’s outstanding achievement in 2023, and will be formally announced at the upcoming Australia Music Examination Board (AMEB) Award Ceremony; held at Elder Hall, University of Adelaide.

This prize will be presented during the ceremony, which will also include a short concert and the presentation of all the 2023 Prizes, Certificates of Performance and Diploma qualifications. Well done Danni!

Literacy Pro Words Read Challenge Term 1

Pilgrim School recently came second in the statewide Literacy Pro Words Read Challenge. The number of words read was tallied after the students from Years 2 to 6 passed quizzes for the Literacy Pro books they completed over the past few weeks. The school has won $200 worth of books for the library.

Great reading Pilgrim School!

Casual Day - Thursday 11th April

On Thursday 11th April (Week 11) we are holding a casual day and the money raised will go towards a selected project.

A donation is requested from each student. Please use Qkr! for donations or cash on the day. The donation option is already open in Qkr! and will remain open until the end of the term.

Normal standards for hair and jewellery apply and footwear needs to be appropriate for normal class activities, including fitness (not slippers, thongs or slip ons).
