Each newsletter we will share a little bit about different members of our fabulous Ivanhoe Edge Coaching Team. 

Kelvin Bowers

Basketball Coach

Kelvin is a skilled basketball coach with in-depth knowledge of college athletic program regulations and sports psychology. He consistently motivates and inspires players to bring their best to every game. Kelvin is an innovative Offensive Coach, who is highly skilled in advancing the skill of young people, supervising coaches, and involving parents in their children’s athletic development.

 

Adam Hutton

Head of Strength and Conditioning

Adam is extremely passionate about coaching and the critical role of strength and conditioning. He loves helping young people achieve their best. Adam is a member of the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association. He has a Masters in Sports Analytics as well as a Master of Exercise Science (Strength and Conditioning), Sport and Exercise. 

 

Ako Kusafuka

Swim Coach 

Ako’s whole life has been spent next to or in the pool. She has worked with many great teachers and coaches in Australia and internationally, as both an athlete herself, and as a coach. Ako is very passionate about developing the next generation of swimmers; and enabling everyone to experience the joy of swimming.

 

Jeremy Mackay

Tennis Coach

Jeremy has a deep love for the game of tennis. He has been a coach for over 30 years. In 1996 Jeremey founded his own private tennis coaching company to inspire people to play tennis and deliver the best tennis experience to players. He sees tennis lessons as a vehicle to play tennis and his coaching is in high demand. 

 

Anna Tetlow

Dance Coach

Anna has a wealth of experience. She is a Royal Ballet School graduate who toured with them for ten years, collaborating with leading choreographers during this time. Anna has specialised in dance rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, engaging in a range of techniques including breathwork and pilates, through her private studio.  You can find out more about Anna in our article about dance at Ivanhoe Edge.

 

 

Jade Videl

Waterpolo Coach

Even after 35 years of playing waterpolo, Jade still enjoys the thrills and new memories that the sport brings just as much as when he first began. Long lasting friendships and being part of close and united teams over decades has provided an understanding of success, beyond simply the measurement of competitive results. Jade has coached and undertaken development roles at local and state levels, with a focus on both beginner and advanced 10 -16 year old players. He believes in ongoing dialogue with parents of progress and future targets.
