Harmony Day
By Lucinda, Nico and Philips, 3C
Harmony Day is an amazing celebration where we come together, dress up with all sorts of paint, earrings and costumes . Let us tell you more about this celebration.
We talked about how all different cultures and countries around the world express themselves, and how some even decorate their bodies. From this discussion we created our own Henna hands. Some people did patterns and some people did not do patterns, they did things like pedals and cristals and I thought it was really beautiful. It was really fun!
At the Harmony Day picnic there was a shop where they sold donuts and zoopa doopa’s it was so fun and I loved it. There were performances and more fun, everybody played and had a lot of fun.
Year 3 buddies
By Lily, Oliver and Yvette, 3C
On Monday 25 March Year 3 went to Molesworth Street to meet our buddies. It was fun. We made chatterboxes and made new friends. We headed back to Errol street just in time for lunch.
To get to know everyone, Year 3 and 2 all made ‘get-to-know-you chatterboxes’.
We got to decorate them however we wanted and play with them it was so fun. We had a blast with them and can’t wait to see them again in the future!
The last thing we did was receive our letters from Year 2. We were so excited to know our buddies. In term 2 we will write back and we can’t wait to get to know them more!
