First term wrap up

They may be the youngest students in the school, but we have been amazed by the resilience, determination and effort our Prep students have shown in their first term at North Melbourne Primary. Throughout their learning time, developmental play and breaks for recess and lunch, we have seen the children achieving and celebrating their successes with their friends, classmates and teachers. 

Students have adjusted to school life by forming new friendships, learning new routines, solving new problems and exploring new information through their learning and play. By this point in the year, each class has already covered the first set of sounds taught in Prep and many of them are already using these to support their reading and express simple ideas in writing. 

We hope that our Prep students and families have a wonderful rest during the break and look forward to welcoming them back for more incredible learning in the second term.
