Wrap up
Students have been consolidating their learning from the Term. We’ve been having fun across the junior school - making, painting, exploring, and experimenting - in this last week as we review.
Prep - weather in a jar
After a Term of singing about the weather, these meteorologists have been making their own weather in a jar. Preps have been testing how many drops of food colouring (rain) it takes to 'break' a cloud and make it rain.
Year 1 - habitats
Students have learned about plant anatomy and different habitats over Term 1, and this week have been painting their choice of learning with water colours. Enjoy these beautiful Australian bush habitat and ocean habitat paintings from 1D!
Year 2 - looking after the earth
We have learned all about the value and importance of the Earth’s natural resources - in particular, water. To round out the Term, we are learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and how different lands have looked after the Earth for tens of thousands of years. Year 2 have made flip books with information about how different Nations learnt to survive in harsh conditions, including in arid areas where water may be scarce.
