Collage has been combined with markers in these flower designs.
Year 3 and 4
Making collographs. Students sketched a design first then cut up paper to make their printing template. We learned about shape, textures and layers in the process and made some interesting rubbings with crayon.
Year 5 and 6
We discussed peacocks, the national bird of India. We talked about their symbolism in stories and traditional paintings. In this two week activity students used reference sheets to hand draw their peacock. Birds were painted with ink. When it was dry students had the choice to add jewels to their artwork.
