Term 4-Italian
Term 4 has welcomed Italian students in Prep, 3 to 6 with learning some new language about Alla Ricerca di Nemo (Finding Nemo).
Students in classes 3-6 were exposed to relevant vocabulary about characters, habitats and character characteristics within Finding Nemo. They were challenged and wrote their own sentences on slide shows to demonstrate their learning . Below are some examples of what students have completed during Italian lessons.

In Prep, students focussed on how to say hello, (Buongiorno) to each other, and ensure that their peers are present in the classroom by making relevant eye contact. If you would like to practise this at home, we have been encouraging students to say:“Buongiorno ____ ( next student on the roll name)” and made eye contact.
We have also focussed on particular parts of the body, and affiliated this with relevant songs such as “heads, shoulders, knees and toes” (In italian of course!).
To finish off the year, students will be exploring Natale (Christmas) and how Italian Christmases are celebrated, compared to Australian. They will also inquire using some recipes and make some traditional Italian foods in the coming weeks.
Thank you,
