Year 7 Forensic Science

The Year 7 Science/Maths Extension class completed their final Forensic Science activity last Thursday.

This semester, during one lesson a fortnight, our talented Science and Maths students have been undertaking sessions in the Forensic Science field. They have looked at various crime investigation techniques such as Fingerprint Analysis, Blood Spatter, Electrophoresis, DNA Extraction, Handwriting Analysis and Chromatography. Our sessions concluded with the solving of a crime utilising forensic data followed by a well earned cupcake made by Mrs Lloyd using a forensic theme.  Thank you, Mrs Lloyd, the cakes were delicious.

All students participated in the sessions with great enthusiasm and we hope they enjoyed their foray into the forensic sciences.
