Studio Photography
Year 10 Studio Photography students have been on a number of walking excursions into the Rochester CBD and back to shoot black and white film using old 35mm film cameras. Given the instant nature of today's digital cameras, the stages of shooting and chemically processing film then creating enlargements from negatives in the darkroom has been a test of patience. Not to mention the potential for unknown results as a result of parallax error, variations in plastic lens, light leaks and the nuances of chemical ratios and temperatures. The photographs shared here are a nice mix of old and new processes; the film was processed chemically and the negatives were scanned digitally.
