Millard Shield

On Monday 4 December, our Year 6 students competed in the annual Millard Shield cricket game between the Burnie and Ulverstone campuses. It was wonderful to see our students showing initiative and begin preparing for this game earlier in the year, often running their own training sessions and developing strategies they would use on the day. It was a close contest with many great moments including some catches, run outs, and some solid batting performances. Our students were encouraging and got alongside each other with every effort recognised throughout the day.

Burnie finished the day with a total of 166 runs, defeating Ulverstone on 137. Congratulations to our Burnie students for winning back the shield!  Many thanks to Ulverstone for a great game and for playing in the right spirit. We look forward to competing again next year!

Celebration Service

Lifehouse Church Visit

Our Year 3/4 classes at Burnie Campus have been learning about “Faith in Action” in Christian Living in Term 4.  They have been collecting non-perishable food items for those people who need it this holiday period.  They visited Lifehouse Church and met with Pastor Scott who explained the role of the Church in 2023.  He gave a tour of the building and answered some questions about faith.

The Rock Community Church

On Monday 4 December, the Burnie campus partnered with The Rock Community Church.  We welcomed them to run morning teatime activities with our students.

They had so much fun!
