Principal's Report

Mr Robert Holstein

As we come to the final weeks of the 2023 school year, I am amazed at the speed with which the time has gone. Arriving at the College for the first time I was impressed by all that I saw, the stunning grounds, the historic buildings and the welcoming staff which all combined to leave a positive lasting impression that I shall take with me despite the short time that I’ve spent here.

It is with a degree of sadness that I say farewell, as I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working in this College community. One where students are encouraged to succeed and grow academically, spiritually, socially and physically - Founded on Faith and Focused on Learning

When I accepted the invitation to come to O’Connor, I knew that it was for a limited period of time and that it would be both challenging and exciting. I have worked with a great team and extend my thanks and appreciation to all. I also wish to extend my congratulations and best wishes to the new Principal Phillip Gibney.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the staff. I thank them on behalf of the community for the significant contribution they have made, the care they have shown to others, the joy they have brought and the superb effort they have made in order to make a difference in the lives of our young people.

In particular, I would like to acknowledge those who are leaving O’Connor Catholic College at the end of this year and wish them all the best in their future endeavours.

  • Mr Frank Patricks
  • Mrs Janet Price
  • Mr Gustav Klopper
  • Mrs Helene Klopper
  • Mrs Glenda Lemon
  • Mrs Marie Clare Gould
  • Mrs Marija Griffin

As a school community, at this time of year, there is a sense of excitement as the College year draws to a close and holidays beckon. Most importantly, as a Catholic school we look forward to celebrating the birth of our Saviour and listening to God’s message.

We pray that God will guide us as we journey through the coming year, we live in hope that peace will prevail on earth. May we live with courage, love with compassion and be the voice of Peace on Earth

Thank you for your warm welcome and your best wishes. O’Connor Catholic College will always hold a special place in my heart. Wishing you a happy Christmas.
