Colour Run

Last Thursday our community was awash with colour for our Annual CHAPS Colour Run.

Once again, a huge thank you to the school’s active parent community and the school’s parents’ association CHAPS for delivering such a fun-filled event.

CHAPS Fundraising Efforts

Families that frequent our school Stadium for OSHC or Maroondah Magic Basketball may have noticed that landscaping has begun in preparation for the Stadium playground. CHAPS’ fundraising for the remainder of the year, inclusive of donations from families for the Colour Run and the upcoming Bunnings and Christmas Carols BBQs will contribute to the installation of the Stadium’s Ninja Warrior and Sensory playground. It is hoped that the project will be delivered by Easter next year. This will be a great addition to the school being a great space for PE & Sport, OSHC play and a quieter recess and lunch playground for those students that need a less stimulating play area.

Kiss and Go Zone - Update

This week I received confirmation from the Maroondah Council that the Kiss and Go drop-off area on Campaspe Drive will stay and have enhanced permanent signage promoting the morning process.

The project of reviewing and actioning improvements to road safety around the school has been an ongoing body of work for School Council. Whilst the initiative has been a lengthy process, it is pleasing to see the positive effects, with reduced reported incidents and visibly improved traffic flow.

School Council welcomes ongoing feedback on this and other school business.
