MINI SCHOOL CLIMATE PROTEST
Our little Climate Warriors were very enthusiastic! They wrote and stuck messages up on Josh's office window. Josh Burns was very welcoming and the girls told him that they want more action to prevent further climate change and for our government to stop funding and approving coal and gas projects in Australia!
Josh said that the girls were the nicest protesters he had ever come across!
HOUSE MUSIC COMPETITION
Last Thursday we held our 2023 Ripponlea House Music extravaganza. The House Captains spent hours making sure all the Year 3 to 6 students knew the whole dance.
The day came and every house was ready to win, but there could only be one winner. Booring started with a bang with their amazing 'Men in Black' dance, then Bemin came with their rocking dance 'Living on a Prayer'. Then came Warren with 'Footloose' and their crazy mismatched socks and shoes, and we finally finished off the day with Tunparrim’s 'I Need a Hero'.
The day came to an end, the judges had a tough decision to make, in 4th place was Tunparrim, 3rd place was Bemin and just one point decided 1st and 2nd... but in the end the winners were... Warren!
Thanks to all the teachers who helped out during rehearsals.
A MESSAGE FROM YOUR 2023 SCHOOL CAPTAINS
Our experience here at Ripponlea was special from the start, from our friends to our teachers, to the memories we made.
Our time as School Captains this year was amazing! We have learned so much about how to be a leader and what that means, and we have so many people to thank for it. A thank you to all our peers who voted for us. A thank you to all the teachers who supported us and helped us along the way, and a special thank you to our amazing principal Mrs Rose and our teacher Sarah.
Whether it was taking us to leadership events, doing behind-the-scenes assemblies, or going on school tours with us, they have done so much for us, and this year would not have been the same without them.
Last but definitely not the least, a big thank you to all our friends and family who were encouraging us every step of the way. It tears us to bits that we will be parting with most of them at the end of this year, although we will never forget all the amazing memories we made here at Ripponlea.
Love,
Millie and Aurora

THANK YOU ATTICA FROM THE YEAR 6s
For the Year 6 graduation Attica provided some yummy snacks for us. They provided handmade sausage rolls, chocolate chip cookies, caramel popcorn, honey joys and white chocolate pannacotta with berries.
They really made the night. One of the best things was bragging to our parents that we got eat Attica and they can’t even get a booking. The crowd favourite was definitely the caramel popcorn. We are all so thankful for all that amazing food and that amazing night.
