End of Borrowing for the Year

Unfortunately, borrowing has now ceased for the year as it is time for the library to undertake its annual stocktake.

Please return all library books as soon as possible.

We still have some children with very outstanding books.  I would appreciate it if families could have a thorough look for the books and ask your child/children to come and talk to me about misplaced books. If you are unable to find any books, please continue to look for them over the next few weeks until the school year finishes, and if found, please return to the library as quickly as possible. 

Thank you to all the library helpers this year 

Thank you to Karina F for the wonderful job she has done with the organising of Scholastic Book club.  Karina is responsible for processing all the orders from families and then sorting and delivering all the books to the classrooms for children each issue.  By our families purchasing books from Book club our library has been able to add many new books to our collection.  Karina volunteers her time to do this, and it is very much appreciated. 

Thank you to Rachel C, an ex-Roselea parent, and her daughter Zoe, an ex-Roselea student who come each week and help shelve books.  Rachel comes each week and Zoe comes when she is back in Sydney on university holidays.  Their help is very much appreciated especially around stocktake time.

I would also like to say a very big thank you to the amazing library leaders and helpers I have had this year. Each Monday and Tuesday I am so fortunate to have the assistance of the library leaders Samaira B, Timmy W, Nok C, Rachel L, Mondana R and Gordon C.  I have had an amazing team of year 5 helpers also, including Sally P, Charlotte V, Chloe L, Samika K, Zhi Yoong T who come everyday to the library.   Other helpers include Halle F, Ava L, Elsie G, Evie N, Amy G, Mikayla W, Aria B, Annabelle C, Idella H, Leanne P, Callum G, Jayden K, John Z, and Sahyr C.  There is also a beautiful group of year 1 and 2 students who love to help and are learning about the library, including how to take care of the space and shelve the books correctly.  All our students are very willing workers and help with all sorts of jobs. I very much appreciate all the time these students give.

Book from Local Library

This Big Nate book from the Parramatta library was mistakenly returned to our library.

I have shown it to all the classes several times, but no child has indicated that they recognise it.

If you recognise this book, would you please ask your child to come to the library to collect it for returning.
