Presentation Day
A reminder that we will be having our Presentation Day assemblies under our COLA on Tuesday 12th December. This event will be split up into 2 assemblies.
If your child is receiving an award at either of the assemblies, you will receive a letter from the school notifying you. I would like to warmly welcome all parents and carers to come regardless of if your child is receiving an award. I very much look forward to celebrating the variety of achievements of our students at Roselea.
High School transition
Starting this week, our year 6 students will participate in a specially designed high school transition program. For this cohort of students, we will transform from Roselea PS to Roselea High School as they get to experience timetabling, different subjects and different teachers. Some of the specific subjects are:
During this time, our Year 5 students will participate in a 'leadership camp' and Peer Support training. Thank you to Mr Chong and the stage 3 teachers for their organisation and commitment to preparing our Year 6 students for High School.
Thank You Morning Tea
This Wednesday, 29 November from 10.50-11.25am we will be holding a thank you morning tea for all parent and community volunteers who have helped Roselea PS in 2023. If you have helped with P&C, scripture, classroom activities, sports carnivals, excursions, band or any other activity, the staff would love for you to make it on Wednesday. Your spirit, energy and commitment to our students and school make a huge difference and this is just a small token of our appreciation.
2023 Student Leadership
Last Monday, our year 5 nominees for leadership positions gave their speeches to students in years 2-6. I was so impressed with their poise, articulation and ability to get their message across to hundreds of people. I know the leadership of our school is in capable hands based on the calibre of nominees. I was very proud of them all.
Thank you P&C
Tonight, we have our AGM followed by our final P&C meeting of the year. For our current members of P&C, may I take this opportunity to thank you for your service to the school. We have worked closely together throughout the year, and I have enjoyed working shoulder to shoulder with you throughout the year especially during those big community events such as the fun run, band camp and Lego day. I know that we will continue to share a close relationship as we work together for the betterment of our children.
The 2023 P&C made the planning of a new play space possible. This is a great legacy that our students will continue to enjoy for years to come.
2024 planning
All NSW Public Schools are staffed through enrolment numbers and associated formulae. Therefore, to plan appropriately for the 2024 school year, we need to know as accurately as possible our anticipated student numbers for next year.
