Carols on the Green 2023

We are excited to continue our Carols On The Green tradition this year, taking place on the evening of Wednesday 13th December on the oval. This annual end-of-year celebration provides an opportunity for all children to experience the joy, pride, nerves and satisfaction of collaborative performance for a large audience of hundreds of people. Families are invited to attend, many choosing to bring a picnic rug to sit on while watching students perform. All students are required to be present by 6:30pm to allow them sufficient time to find their classes and prepare for the evening before the performances start at 7pm.

Barbeque:

A BBQ dinner will be available from 5.30pm. To enhance the flow of our evening and to ensure that everyone enjoys their sausage or burger before the performances commence, we have opened up Try Booking for families to pre-order. Please place your order using THIS LINK by Friday 1st December.

Songs:

Lyrics, tracks and videos can be found by clicking on THIS LINK to Google Drive, then opening your child’s year level folder and the whole school song folder. All children will participate in two songs: their own year-level number, and the whole school finale.

What To Wear:

As children attend the carols event in clothes from home, below are costume themes and ideas to allow plenty of time to get things sorted. It is the overall effect of the whole year-level that has an impact, so please know that there is no pressure to go all out on costumes or requirement to wear every item on the list of suggestions. Keep in mind that children should not have anything in their hands, and that they need to be able to sit on the ground in their costume for a long period of time. We cannot have children leaving to change clothes as they also have an important role as respectful audience-members for the other acts.
