From the Principal Team

Family Festival
Ringwood North Primary School Council and the Ringwood North Family Festival committee are thrilled to be able to share that our festival raised over $62,000 in revenue for the school. Our best estimates are that over 4,000 people attended, followed by dozens more past families at our centenary celebrations on Tuesday October 24.
It was a mammoth event and one that really put our school forward as the great community organisation that it is.
As well as the sponsors and the many staff and parents who gave up their time on the day to help the stalls and zones run smoothly, I wish to personally thank the following people for their contributions over time that were pivotal to the day's success.
- David Barrington
- Mel Lawrence
- Karina Gallace
- Jodie Murphy
- Emma Adams
- Emma Jackson
- Kristen Lawrence
- Chantelle Trend
- Ricarda Lillis

School Holiday Plans -
There are obviously many options during the school holidays. For those days when you need someone else to keep the kids entertained and fed, there is the school holiday program by TeamKids being held onsite at RNPS. (Save this link). However, if you're at home and getting some cabin fever, here are a few thoughts for what you can plan ahead.
Getting around the City
Melbourne always has a plethora of options (both free and paid) for families and children during the holidays.

Art and Design
The National Gallery of Victoria always has surprises around to get children interested in Art and Design.

Fishing
We received notice recently that all Year 5 students in Victoria have the option to receive a free 'Angler Kit', including a rod, reel and tackle to encourage outdoor activities in Victoria.
I know that many families enjoy fishing as a family activity but it was new information to me that in Victoria many lakes and rivers are stocked with additional fish for school holiday periods.
You can find more information here:

The notice for Year 5 families regarding the angler kits is below.
