We are learning to explore decimal numbers.

VOCABULARY

Decimal numbers: A decimal is a number that consists of a whole and a fractional part. Decimal numbers lie between integers and represent numerical value for quantities that are whole plus some part of a whole.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Students practise rolling two dice or using a spinner on google to make decimal numbers. Students record 10 decimal numbers then order them.

Example: I roll a 1 and a 4 so I make 1.4 or 4.1.
