Year 6 students transitioning to Government schools in 2026

Families of Year 6 students planning to enrol to a government school in 2026 must approach secondary schools directly.
Enrolment information can be found on the Secondary school websites
Once direct submissions are made, secondary schools will acknowledge receipt of the application form and advise families, in writing, that if their child is not successful in gaining a Year 7 placement at their preference/s, their form will be forwarded to their designated neighbourhood school.

Timeline for enrolment in Government Schools
Friday 10th May
Applications should have been made to the government school via their enrolment processes.
Wednesday 5th June
Families should be notified
Thursday 6th June
Unsuccessful families notified
Wednesday 17th August
Parents/Carers must have returned acceptance slip to the school then let SJV know.
