Mathematics at Westgrove

Problems of the Week!

This year we will be awarding a prize to one correct entry for both problems.  We encourage you to solve these as a family and have your child place the answer with working out into the Competition box in the Office Foyer.  Winners will be announced during our Morning Briefing each Fortnight.  This fortnight's entries are due by end of Friday the 21st of February.

Literacy at Westgrove

Students have been busy learning about literacy at Westgrove this week!

They have established classroom libraries to support independent reading and set up classroom expectations for working within the Reading and Writing Workshop including their use of the Reader’s and Writer’s Notebook.

Students have had the opportunity to visit the school library and will have a scheduled library lesson each week. A reminder to please send your child’s book bag to school every day.

Students are expected to change their library books each week. Our school library is also open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8:45am.
