Grade 1 Report

Welcome to a Wonderful New School Year!

We are so excited to welcome our Grade 1 students to a brand-new school year filled with learning, friendship, and fun! We have already been busy settling into our routines and exploring what it means to be part of a caring and respectful learning community.

At our school, we value Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Learning Success. We have been practicing respect by listening to each other, using kind words, and taking care of our classroom. We are showing resilience by trying our best, even when something feels tricky, and we are learning how to be responsible for our belongings and our actions.

One exciting part of our learning journey is our Reading Groups! We have started reading with a partner, taking turns reading and listening, and making predictions about what might happen in a story and what might happen next using clues. It was so much fun sharing our favourite books with our classmates! We love seeing the excitement and enthusiasm for reading grow each day.

We are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead, full of new discoveries, challenges, and achievements. A big thank you to our Grade 1 families for your support as we help our students build confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning!
