Term 1

District Swimming Qualifying Times

Does your child swim at a high level and are aged between 9 and 13?  Then they may be interested in competing at the District Swimming Carnival at Tintern Grammar on Thursday 27 February, 12.15pm to approximately 2.45pm.

Parents/Guardians are required to transport and supervise their child at this event which will be held at Tintern Grammar in East Ringwood.  Swimmers need to be proficient in their chosen stroke and swim 50m within the predetermined qualifying time.

The individual events are:

                50m freestyle

                50m backstroke

                50m breaststroke

                50m butterfly

Students do not need to swim all strokes.  They are allowed to swim in two individual events plus relays at District.

To see if your child meets qualifying times, please take them to a 50m pool and time them in the chosen individual events from above.  Then email (fiona.pumpa@education.vic.gov.au) or send a note to Fiona Pumpa with the times by Friday 21st February.
