Grade 6

Literacy

Students are continuing to learn about World Deserts in their core knowledge unit. 

We introduce several new words each week to expand students' vocabulary and support their reading comprehension. 

In writing, year 6 students are focusing on the genre of poetry. 

Inquiry

Students continue their unit about Leadership. Over the next fortnight, they will being their 'Leadership Project' where they will research a well known leader and develop a presentation about them. 

Numeracy

Over the coming weeks, students will be learning about:

-prime, square and composite numbers.

-order of operations.
