Welcome to the Science Faculty! 

We are excited to engage your child in a dynamic learning environment that fosters curiosity and innovation. Our curriculum is enhanced through the use of Stile, an interactive online platform that brings science to life with engaging resources and activities. Stile is utilised for in-class learning, home revision and consolidation of learning and for some assessment tasks. You can support your child in science by looking at the tasks within Stile. 

 

Elderslie High School Science Faculty are proud to host many activities to enrich and extend student learning. 

  • At the annual Science Fair student showcase their curiosity by presenting their research and investigations. 
  • STEM and future focused skills are utilised by our students who participate in the thrilling First Australia, First Lego League. 
  • Our annual Science Week activities provide a fun-filled opportunity for students to explore various scientific concepts and engage with the wider community
  • Students make connections of learning by participating in hands-on and relevant learning activities including a CSIRO project.
  • Additionally, students have the opportunity to participate in enrichment workshops designed to deepen their understanding and passion for science. 

Together, we inspire the next generation of scientists and critical thinkers!

 

The Science Faculty offer many interesting and career relevant courses including: Years 7, 9 and 10 Agriculture, Years 7-10 Science, Project Innovate (21st Century future focused project based learning), Years 9 and 10 iSTEM (integrated Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). In addition, we offer several HSC courses in Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Science Extension. The faculty also offers Primary Industries where students can gain a VET qualification through hands-on application of knowledge and workplace experience.
