Investiture Assembly

Our annual Investiture Assembly is always a highlight at the College. On Wednesday, students were recognised for a number of important leadership roles, such as, Class Captain, Year Level Leader, SRC, Sport/House Captains, Music Captains, Prefects and College Captains. Congratulations to all students on their leadership positions. We look forward to their service and contributions to the life of the College.

At this assembly, we take great pride in recognising the outstanding achievements of our VCE students. Each year, we acknowledge those who have attained a high ATAR, as well as those who have achieved a study score above 40 in one or more of their subjects. These accomplishments reflect their dedication, hard work, and academic excellence.

With ATAR scores above 90, we recognised Kira Capuano and Jessica McPhee. Jessica was also our College Dux for 2024 and we will welcome her back at the end of the year to speak at our Presentation Evening.

We also acknowledged our students with subject scores above 40:

  • Narelle Bahlo – German and Health and Human Development

  • Victoria Beilken – Health and Human Development

  • Kira Capuano – Psychology

  • Mia Formichi – Health and Human Development

Year 7 Transition continues

Our Year 7 students have enjoyed a successful camp at Adanac in Yarra Junction. The importance of this camp cannot be underestimated. This activity-filled camp provides opportunities for Year 7 students to form friendships, connect with their teachers and enjoy the company of the Year 11 Peer Support Leaders. I was fortunate enough to attend camp on Wednesday and can report first-hand that the favourite activities include the waterslide, flying fox, stand-up paddle-boarding and the inflatable water trampoline. Given the hot weather, the water activities were very popular.

When visiting camp, I was reminded of the outstanding facilities at Adanac, with most indoor spaces fully air-conditioned. Students were impressed with the food too, which is always of a high standard. It was wonderful to see the positive interactions between students in their activity groups.  The connections made on this camp ensure a smooth transition to secondary school.

We now look forward to welcoming Year 7 families back to the College in the last week of term for our annual Pancake Breakfast to celebrate their first term of Secondary School. Hopefully there will be Grade 6 teachers in attendance as well.
