INTRODUCING OUR GERMAN CAPTAINS FOR 2025

This year in German we are delighted to have the assistance of our 2025 German Captains, Suhani and Maheli.

Both of these Grade 6 students have demonstrated a wonderful passion and enthusiasm towards their German language learning since commencing at Rangeview.

Suhani and Maheli have written a fabulous introduction about themselves in German and English. Enjoy:

SUHANI

ENGLISCH:

Hello! My name is Suhani, and I am your German Captain for 2025! I’m 11 years old and some of my hobbies are dancing, reading, swimming and playing the piano.

I’m looking forward to a wonderful year of learning and fun in German. I love learning German because there are so many things I can do outside lessons, such as participating in the AGTV German poetry competition, celebrating our annual Oktoberfest and of course, munching on delicious pretzels and gingerbread hearts! I hope that everyone enjoys these activities just as much as I do!

If you ever need a helping hand with your German learning, or anything else for that matter, please don’t hesitate to come and talk to me.

Hallo! Mein Name ist Suhani und ich bin Ihr deutscher Kapitän für 2025! Ich bin 11 Jahre alt und einige meiner Hobbys sind Tanzen, Lesen, Schwimmen und Klavierspielen.

Ich freue mich auf ein wundervolles Jahr voller Lernen und Spaß auf Deutsch. Ich liebe es, Deutsch zu lernen, weil es so viele Dinge gibt, die ich außerhalb des Unterrichts tun kann, wie zum Beispiel die Teilnahme am deutschen Poesiewettbewerb von AGTV, das Feiern unseres jährlichen Oktoberfestes und natürlich das Essen köstlicher Brezeln und Lebkuchenherzen! Ich hoffe, dass allen diese Aktivitäten genauso viel Spaß machen wie mir!

MAHELI

ENGLISCH:

Hi, my name is Maheli Widana and I’m one of the German Captains for 2025! I’ve been at Rangeview for 3 years, this being my fourth.

Some of my hobbies are swimming, dancing and reading!

I’m super excited to be German Captain and hope to make Rangeview proud.

DEUTSCH:

Hallo, mein Name ist Maheli Widana und ich bin einer der deutschen Kapitäne 2025! Ich bin seit drei Jahren bei Rangeview, dies ist mein viertes.

Zu meinen Hobbys gehören Schwimmen, Tanzen und Lesen!

Ich freue mich sehr, deutscher Kapitän zu sein und hoffe, Rangeview stolz zu machen.
