We are very excited to confirm the highly-anticipated RAFT Camp Out for 2025! Please scan the QR Code on the poster to register via our Trybooking page.
I know I speak on behalf of all the Year 6 students and teachers when I say the excitement for camp next week has reached peak levels! I am lucky enough to also be attending for the week and I can't wait to see our Year 6s in action, participating in a wide range of amazing activities.
A huge thank you in advance to the parent helpers who have signed up for a week away. We are sure you will have a memorable experience, sharing this cohort's final primary school camp.
Watch this space for some great photos in a couple of weeks!
We are very excited to share that as part of our partnership, we can offer our wider school community a webinar hosted by TRP focused on Building Resilience @ Home. This webinar will be held on Thursday March 13th from 6:30pm-7:30pm. You can tune in from the comfort of your own home!
I strongly encourage everyone in our school community to sign up for this webinar and take advantage of some great tips to strengthen wellbeing at home. Please see the flyer below for more information and scan the QR Code to register - once registered, you will receive a zoom link to join the webinar.
In further updates, our new teachers undertook the first component of a two-part professional learning series on all things TRP this week. These sessions strongly support the work we have already done as a whole staff to ensure the program is effectively being implemented school-wide.
Australia-wide data gathered through the Resilient Youth Survey (completed by over 100,000 students in 2024) and compared to 'norm' data (students/schools who do not use TRP) has shown that implementation of TRP leads to improved:
In addition, evidence shows that general emotional, social and physical wellbeing of students utilising TRP compared to those who don't, are consistently higher. We are very proud of our Resilient Youth Survey data and the overall sense of wellbeing amongst our students - and the work our teachers and school do to support this.
Our staff will have an opportunity to explore this data over the coming weeks, and we will then share with the wider school community.
Our student leadership team has made a fantastic start to the school year, modelling exemplary behaviour, engagement and attitude within the school. Our first School Council meeting of the year was held on Tuesday night and our School and Voice Captains were all in attendance to share their thoughts as our new student leaders.
They will continue to attend School Council meetings across the year to be the voice for our students, report back about events, share student ideas and and assist School Council with decisions to shape Rangeview moving forward.
As Ms Ferguson highlighted in the Principal's Report, we were so pleased to open the new Junior Playground earlier this week.
Please see below for some more photos of this wonderful new space!
