Hockey - Division 1 Men

Illness and injury afflicted the team again this week and, once again, we played one short. And this time without our Captain!  Last week, we were disappointed to draw a game we had led for much of its duration, but this week we were much more satisfied with a share of the points against the Bulls.  This was a very good game of hockey with the ball moving from end to end.

Last week we tired after half time; this week our intensity and effort were maintained throughout, and 3-3 was a fair result after an evenly contested game. Goalscorers were Rupert Merrin, Isaac Shaw and Harry Brown, and, pleasingly, after leading early, we came from behind to level the scores on two occasions.

We have one final game next weekend before the finals, and hopefully, all those affected by illness or injury can recover in time for the last few games of the season.

Hockey - Division 1 Women

Despite missing three players and Captain Oliva Read, the Division One women had an excellent 4-1 victory over Dunkeld White.

Stand-in Captain Sophie Merrin had an outstanding match, scoring two goals in a best-on-ground performance. Chloe Headlam and Lily Cush were the other goal scorers.

Evie Templeton was a brick wall on the half line and was well supported by Sophie Spence and Georgina Adams, who have both put together a very consistent season. The girls need to win on Sunday to secure the double chance.
