Student reflections on 'Peter Pan: The Musical':
This year in production the best thing was hanging out with my friends and making heaps of new ones! Through out the weeks leading up to it I loved reading my lines and memorising the lyrics to the fun and amazing songs and dances that Mrs Knoll and other amazing helpers and teachers has put together with lots of hard work and effort. Peter Pan was brought to life with everyone putting their best shot and giving it a go. It was mixed emotions at the end but it was so fun and we will have lots of great memories together from it!
- Phoebe 5N (Tinkerbell)
Production was an Incredible experience! It was my first and best! I just want to say a big thanks to Mrs knoll and all the other teachers and parents who made production possible for us to enjoy. My favourite song was definitely “ Pirates of the sea”. I enjoyed acting as a character that has quality and a personality that are completely different to mine . I also had the opportunity to have two incredible experiences, being in the chorus the first two nights but also stepping in on the last night to play the “Nana”! It was ever lasting fun across the three nights. I’d encourage everyone to consider to be part of the next production because you only have one chance for that show. Gaining confidence can be a hard thing to do, but production has helped me do it, in a safe environment with my friends but also in front of lots people I don’t know. Production has been an opportunity only available because of the dedication of teachers, parents and students. As my Dad has always reminds me, “Hard work pays off!”
- Zoe 5W (5/6 Chorus & Nana)
As the curtains opened, I looked at my friends then took a deep breath, it was time. Standing on that stage my teeth chattered. I could hear words of “good luck” and “you got this” from my friends. The lights were hot on my face but I put on a smile anyway. After that I had a long break, so I played uno and spot it. After my break I had to go back up and sing my favourite sad song: how did we end up here Nana? I had the best time ever. My favourite part was the bows and seeing the cast altogether in one place, it was truly amazing. I would totally recommend this to the 5/6 students 2 years from now. It was an amazing experience especially as main cast.
