Term 3 - Week 6

A message from the teachers

What a fantastic term it’s been so far for our Year 5 and 6 students! We've been diving deep into the world of fractions, decimals, and percentages in numeracy, challenging ourselves with real-world maths problems and sharpening our number skills every step of the way. It’s been great to see so many of you building confidence and taking on tricky tasks with a positive attitude. With assessments done now, we will be moving into chance and probability.

In Science and Literacy, our classrooms have been buzzing with excitement as students planned and carried out experiments, asked thoughtful questions, and explored how the world works through hands-on investigations. The curiosity and teamwork on display have been outstanding! We have looked at acids and bases, chemical compounds and how a procedure is necessary for accurate results.

A special shout-out goes to our Year 5 and 6 students, who’ve been showing wonderful empathy and support during visits to North Cheltenham Kindergarten. The way you’ve connected with the youngest of learners—listening, encouraging, and being great role models—has made a big difference. One kindergarten teacher even said, “Our kids look forward to this all week, kids come to school just so excited to see their partners and excited to tell them all about their day.” Well done guys

And of course… camp is just around the corner! There's a real buzz in the air as we get ready for this exciting adventure. Whether you're looking forward to the activities, the campfire stories, or just spending time with friends, we know it’s going to be an unforgettable experience.
