Wonderful 1

The 0ne-der Stars 1s

Term 3 Week 6 2025 -  Friday 29th August

What have we been up to?

What a fun-filled and exciting week we’ve had in Grade 1!

Our Book Week celebration was a huge success! Students came dressed as their favourite book characters, and we were so impressed by the creativity and effort that went into every costume. From superheroes to comic book favourites. Thank you to all families for helping bring the magic of books to life!

In Writing this week, students turned into scientists! After a hands-on volcano experiment, they wrote their very own scientific reports, describing what they observed, how the experiment worked, and what happened when the volcano “erupted.”

It was a fantastic way to combine  writing with science, and the students were so proud of their work!

Our special Wild Action incursion brought the wonders of Australian wildlife into our classroom! Students had the chance to see and learn about fascinating native animals up close, including a crocodile, a python, a sugar glider, and even a Koala!

It was a hands-on experience that sparked curiosity and lots of great questions. The excitement was contagious, and the students loved getting to meet these incredible creatures.

Here are some photo highlights from the fortnight that was.
