Baseball
In a huge weekend for SPC Baseball, both teams picked up victories! It was the second victory in a row for the First IX as they defeated Thornleigh Blue 12-11 in a fantastic contest. The U14 team took on Kissing point at Majors Bay in what Coach Tabbara said is one of their strongest performances of the season, where all boys contributed to the victory. Well done to all involved.
Cricket
The First XI managed to pick up a strong win against Oakhill College by more than 100 runs. Captain Jack Edwards had a huge 84 runs and Ronan O’Neill had a big day with bat and ball managing to score 73 runs whilst also taking two wickets.
The Second XI lost to Scots All Saints First XI, this is despite a huge effort from Seamus O’Connell who ended the day 117 not out in a fantastic effort. SPC managed two wins in Thunder League Cricket with the mighty 16 Blue team defeating Concord and the just as mighty 13 Black team defeating Epping. Special mention to James Burnicle of the 13 Gold team who scored 108 not out in their loss to Rovers.
Basketball
The First V and all A teams ventured out to Bathurst to take on St Stanislaus College on Saturday in the final round of ISA fixtures. The First picked up a strong 83 to 78 in a fantastic fixture, the 14As had a strong win as well. There were plenty of strong wins in the Gym, including the Year 7Cs who managed to pick up their second win of the season in a thrilling 29 to 25 win which had all the parents on the edge of their seat right until the very end.
Touch Football
A very successful weekend for SPC Touch Football, with the Senior A Touch Football team winning 12 points to 3 over St Andrew’s, Year 7/8A won 5 to 4 in a thrilling contest and a huge 11 nil victory for Year 7/8C so we were undefeated on SPC 3 for the final round of 2025 Touch fixtures.
Reminder
ISA summer season continues on Saturday 31 of January 2026.
I would like to sincerely thank all the coaches, MICs, coaches, families and most importantly players for all the effort and commitment over the last two years.
