Parents and Friends

To celebrate the Year 6 students of 2025 moving into the next stage of their journey at St Patrick’s College, Strathfield, the parent representatives hosted a Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday evening. Following the Thanksgiving Mass—where students received their graduation certificates and contributed to the Christmas Appeal—parents and students gathered at The Renaissance in Lidcombe to mark the end of their primary school years at SPC.

Dressed in their school uniforms, the boys enjoyed a three-course meal with family and friends. Junior School Captain Alexander Bogoeski made a huge entrance and again addressed his cohort beautifully, recognising the challenges of transitioning to SPC in Year 5 and how they have grown over the past two years at the College.  Each student received a small candle to symbolise their transition into Senior School.

We would like to acknowledge and thank the Karam family (parents of Tony Karam, Year 6 Black) for arranging the Renaissance venue at a heavily subsidised rate. We also extend our gratitude to Old Boy Rob Shehadie, father of Jaidyn Shehadie in Year 6, who graciously emceed the evening. Keeping the boys in line, Rob ensured the night was entertaining and full of fun. A special thank-you also goes to Year 8 student Jonah Shehadie, who served as the event technician for the evening.

Merry Christmas!
