Grade 5/6 Newsletter

As part of our approach to having 100% consistency and engagement, the students have been revisiting some skills this week.

During Maths, Grade 6 students have been learning to divide by two digit numbers, divide a whole number by a decimal and multiply by decimal numbers too!

6B students have been working on worded multi step maths problems involving decimals.

Grade 5 students have been calculating percentages, finding the total from a given percentage and applying percentages in different contexts.

Grade six students have also been enjoying the serial read! They have been learning new vocabularly words and using the text to help them write their autobiographies and graduation speeches. 

Lastly, a few lucky Grade 5 students had the opportunity to visit the Melbourne Zoo recently and learn about fighting extinction.
