Attendance Matters
At Sunshine Heights Primary School, we know regular school attendance is essential for student success and grow. Attending school every day means experiencing what counts – the learning, friendship, fun and opportunities that can shape your child’s future.
Sunshine Heights strives for a minimum attendance rate of 90% for every child, which is in line with our department’s commitment. 90% means missing 5 days a term; across a year this equates to four weeks of school. We know from research that this is a critical level of absence that impact’s your child’s academic growth and social connection.
