At assembly this afternoon we were joined by Elisha Lee, the Deputy Mayor of Monash Council. Elisa spoke to the students about her role and how she helps the local community.
Elisha then helped present our SRC students and monitors (names listed below) with their badges.
Thanks to Elisha for attending.

We were also joined by Uncle Mark Brown from the Bunurong Land Council who performed a Welcome to Country ceremony to start of our school year.
Thanks to Mrs Bartleton for organising.

We held our first Walk to School morning last Friday. Thanks to the over 100 students and their families that walked to school instead of driving. The winner of our Walk to School draw for a new library book from last week was Eva from 1BC.
Our next Walk to School morning will be Friday 27th February. We hope to see you walking to school.
Nominations for parent membership on the School Council will be made available next week via Compass.
School Council is a valuable way for parents to contribute to the direction and success of their child’s school. School Council works in partnership with the principal and staff to help shape school priorities, support student learning, and ensure resources are used effectively. It’s a rewarding opportunity to have a voice, represent the parent community, and make a positive difference for all students while gaining a deeper understanding of how the school operates.
More information on School Council can be found below.
Our school has been working with Monash Council to improve traffic flow and safety around the school during peak drop-off and pick-up times.
To help reduce congestion and keep our students safe, the council has asked that when travelling along Threadbow Crescent, families approach the school gate ONLY from the south (travelling northbound) and exit the area via Lum Road.
At busy times, two-way traffic in this area is not workable. Congestion can quickly become unsafe for young pedestrians and frustrating for drivers. U-turns and inappropriate parking also obstruct traffic flow and restrict access to local properties. Please find attached a letter from Monash Council with further detail.
From 2026, assemblies will no longer be streamed via Webex. All assemblies will be held on the oval or in the gym, every fortnight on Fridays at 2:00pm. The future dates of assemblies Term 1 are below:
*Friday 13th March - Peer Meditor
*Friday 27th March
*Thursday 2nd April at 9am (Harmony Day)
