Term 1 Week 3

Another great week and an especially big one for our Year 7 students who are currently on their way back from a highly successful camp at Anglesea. I am sure there will be some very tired people heading home tonight. A massive thank you to the staff that went on camp, Margaret, James, Millie and Jess, these events don't happen without you. We also had our welcome night for families and students starting at the Wurun senior Campus on Thursday night. It was great to see so many parents and carers in attendance ready to support their students embarking on their senior school journey.

Looking ahead to next week

Monday 16th: Nominations for School Council close. You can find information about putting your name forward for school council on compass. Thank you to everyone who came along to the training this week.

Tuesday 17th: Year 9 Connect excursion to visit the Big Issue Classroom And Yarra Youth Centre. The Big Issue is a social enterprise that support people experiencing homelessness to find employment. These classroom sessions encourage students to reconsider stereotypes and disadvantage. Yarra Youth centre is run by the city of yarra and offers a place for student to connect.

Tuesday night: First School council meeting of the year.

Friday 20th: Year 10 Discover students are visiting RMIT to learn about university life, what you can study and to hear from some current university students.
