Ringwood District Swimming Carnival
On Monday 23rd February, a team of 25 swimmers represented our school at the Ringwood District Swimming Carnival, held at Tintern Swimming Pool. The Ringwood District consists of eight local schools, both government and private, including Tintern Grammar, Tinternvale, Warranwood, Dorset, Sacred Heart, Holy Spirit, and Ringwood North.
Competing against exceptional swimmers from across the district, our POPS team displayed incredible effort, determination and sportsmanship throughout the day. We are immensely proud of not only their performances in the pool, but also the way they supported and cheered for one another. It was wonderful to see such strong team spirit on display.
There were many outstanding individual and relay performances. As per district rules, only the top two swimmers overall in each event (1st and 2nd place) progressed to Division level.

A huge congratulations to Lara S and Declan S, who both placed 2nd overall in their individual events and will now compete at the Division Swimming Carnival.
A special shoutout also goes to our 9/10 Girls Freestyle Relay Team (1st place) and the 12/13 Boys Freestyle Relay Team (2nd place). Both teams performed superbly and have also secured their place at Division level.
A special thank you to Mrs Louise Stevenson and Mrs Susan Chow for assisting students on the pool deck and ensuring they were organised and ready for their events. Your support throughout the day was invaluable.
We also sincerely thank our wonderful parents for transporting students and cheering from the sidelines. Your encouragement means the world to our swimmers.
We wish Lara S, Declan S, Darcy C, Emma C, Zara I, Zach C, Harvey G, Seb D and Harry C the very best next Monday at Division Swimming. We will be cheering you on!
