Ms Allegretto

Hi everyone, I’m Ms Allegretto, though many of the children know me simply as Signorina. I’ve been part of the POPS community since 2003, and it has truly become my second home. I began my teaching journey sharing my love of Italian across all year levels for three years, and these days I’m lucky enough to teach Foundation and Year 1. This is where my energy, creativity, and passion for early learning shine every day.

Over the years, I’ve enjoyed taking on a range of roles at POPS, including Foundation and Year 1 Leader, coordinating the Aussie of the Month assemblies, and contributing to our Healthy Food Accreditation. Celebrating students’ achievements and helping them feel confident, valued, and inspired is at the heart of my work.

Family means everything to me. I share my life with my husband Rodney, our two boys Tyler and Xavier, and our much‑loved dog Bosco. I also adore travelling, exploring new countries, trying different foods, and experiencing cultures from around the world. I often bring these stories and experiences into the classroom to spark curiosity and excitement.

Outside of school, I love staying active and social. You’ll often find me playing Bocce or cheering loudly for my favourite basketball team, go Phoenix!

My classroom is a vibrant, welcoming space where students have a voice, are encouraged to have a go, and always know they are respected. Most importantly, learning is fun. Curiosity, laughter, and confidence fill our days, making our classroom a place where children, and learning, truly thrive.

Miss Plumridge

My name is Ashleigh Plumridge, and this is my first year of teaching. I graduated from Deakin University and feel very fortunate to begin my teaching career at Park Orchards Primary School with my very own Year 2 class.

I am passionate about fostering a safe and supportive learning environment. I prioritise creating learning opportunities that promote engagement, curiosity and a love of learning.

I have a younger brother named Brayden, who recently turned twenty-one, and a younger sister named Regan, who has just finished high school and hopes to become a vet. I also have a dog named Bindi, who will be six years old in October. She is a Pomchi (part Pomeranian and part Chihuahua).

Some of my favourite things to do include writing, taking photos, and spending time with my friends and family.

I can already feel the strong sense of community within and around the school, and I am excited to be part of it with you all.
