The Home Stretch!
Believe it or not... we are officially in the final stretch of the term! It has been an action-packed few weeks, and our students continue to amaze us with their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm for learning.
Only on the last few days, we had a thrilling game of Lacross Students vs teachers, Book Parade and the visit of Nova Weetman (writer for books, film and television).
📚 Literacy: Masters of Persuasion
In literacy, students are putting the finishing touches on their persuasive writing units. It has been incredible to see their growth! They have worked hard to demonstrate their understanding of:
- Text structures
- Complex sentences
- Rhetorical questions
- Inferring information
Students chose fascinating topics to write about, including the use of AI, school uniforms, sports, why we shouldn't do assessments and friendship. Their final pieces showcase very impressive writing skills and a strong ability to convince the reader. Well done, everyone!
➗ Mathematics: Multiplication, Division, and Daily Review
Our math lessons have kept our brains buzzing! While our Daily Review has helped us keep our knowledge of fractions, decimals, percentages, and angles sharp, our main focus has been on computation.
- Students mastered vertical multiplication and short division.
We explored the power of 10 when multiplying and dividing.
Looking ahead to next week: To finish off the term, we will be diving into exciting new topics: location and chance!
Excitement for Cultural Week!
We are already buzzing with excitement as we prepare for our upcoming Cultural Week! This term, our virtual passports are taking us all the way to Paraguay to explore its rich traditions, clothing, and delicious food. Stay tuned for a week full of discovery and fun!

- Graduation Event: Planning a wonderful celebration to honor our students.
