From the Prefects...

Dear Kinross families,
As another busy week comes to a close, it is worth reflecting on the memories being crafted and the relationships being strengthened across our school community. We wanted to focus on this idea this week; the importance of forming connections during our time at school, and making memories through the many co-curricular pursuits our students are involved in.
Throughout our life, we always have places to be and people to see, that we forget to hold on to the memories we are making and appreciate the relationships we form alone the way. The experiences we share, help shape who we become and create a strong sense of belonging. By focusing on building strong relationships and creating positive shared experiences, we foster a culture of support and connection that strengthens our community leaving a lasting impact.
As we reflected on the incredible memories shared during last week’s Golden Alumni 50-year Anniversary celebrations, we were reminded that schools are built on far more than classrooms and results, they are built on the lasting friendships, relationships, and experiences that continue to connect people long after they leave our gates. Seeing generations return to reconnect highlighted the impact that community and shared experiences can have across a lifetime.
That same sense of connection has been evident throughout the school in recent weeks. At the Cadet Passing Out Parade, we recognised the commitment and leadership of our CUO’s completed their final parade, marking the end of an important chapter and celebrating the friendships and memories formed through years of service together. At the end of the day, the leaders gathered together for a formal dinner, sitting and eating with friends and family, listening to inspiring speeches from the top 5, to finish of what has been years of building memories and friendships that they will never forget. It was a wonderful way to finish their cadet journey commemorate their service over the years.
We also saw our community come together during the World’s Greatest Shave, where students and staff supported an important cause with tremendous generosity and spirit, creating moments that will be remembered well beyond the event itself. It was a successful event and we are endlessly proud of all the staff members and students who got involved.
Overall it has been a successful few weeks, with many memories made and relationships tightened.
Kind Regards,
Julia and Charlie
