Humans of Humanity Week

Nicola Devlin, Academic Dean of Humanities

VISIT FROM LOCAL MP

As part of our Humans of Humanity Week, we were fortunate to welcome Dr Michelle Ananda-Rajah, MP for Higgins, to speak with our politics, legal, and history students.

During an inspiring Q & A session, Dr Ananda-Rajah shared her insights on the power of grassroots activism and the guiding 'north stars' that have shaped her professional journey: passion, integrity, diversity and purpose.

SOUP KITCHEN

A heartfelt thanks to the incredible members of the Humanities Faculty, including our student leaders, for organising a soup kitchen to support those in need. All proceeds will benefit our school charity partners.

We also extend our gratitude to honorary members of the Humanities team, Jacqui Goldenberg and Karen Bryce, for their contributions during this special week. The Humanities Faculty is committed to fostering both beautiful knowledge and beautiful actions. Go, team!

VCE Art Show

Rosie Busuttil, Academic Dean of Visual Arts

On Monday 14 October, we hosted an exciting exhibition that celebrated the incredible creativity and hard work of our VCE Visual Communication Design, Media, and Art Making and Exhibiting students.

The event was a visual celebration, with stunning folios and final works on display, showcasing the immense talent and dedication of each student. We were thrilled to have past student Georgia Volasksis (2023) kick off the evening, sharing inspiring stories about her journey through Kilvington and how the skills she gained in art and design have shaped her success in the real world.

The room was buzzing with excitement as a large, enthusiastic crowd gathered to take in the impressive displays. It was a fantastic night, and a huge congratulations goes out to all the students who made this event such a remarkable success!
