Stories From the Classroom

In year 5/6 we are learning lots of new skills in Literacy. We have been really excited to learn about   the structure of narrative texts through engaging with quality mentor texts. Our quality mentor texts are rich texts that are full of great ideas and inspiration that we can use for our own writing!

In maths, we have been learning about Place Value and how to determine the value of large numbers. We are learning that each number represents a particular place in a digit and understanding this helps us to understand, write and order large numbers.

We have been settling in very well to our senior class. We have had the opportunity on Fridays to team up with the F/1 class for buddy reading and Auslan practice. Its a great chance for us to practice our leadership skills too!
