Parent Helpers

All parents are welcome and invited to attend our parent-helper training. This training lasts for 2 years. Parents do not need to do this every year, only every second year. If you completed this training last year you do not need to attend this year. If you are unsure please check with the office. 

All parents, guardians and grandparents who would like to help in the class, go on an excursion or on a camp need to have this training and hold a current working with children check. 

Parent helper training includes – Occupational health and safety, benefits of engagement, parent/teacher partnerships, code of conduct, curriculum at HEPS, and communication. Helpers will be asked to sign an occupational health and safety and code of conduct document. All helpers at HEPS also need to have an up-to-date working with children check and this needs to be sighted at the office or emailed to the school.
