Hello from Grade 1/2D

Literacy

In Literacy we read the book 'Have You Filled a Bucket Today?' by Carol McCloud.

We had a discussion about how you can be a ‘bucket filler’ or a ‘bucket dipper’. 

We talked about when someone says or does something kind, they are filling your imaginary bucket.

When someone says or does something mean, they are dipping from your imaginary bucket.

Students then wrote how they could fill someone’s bucket.

Numeracy

In math we have played lots of games with new partners so that we can get to know each other better.

We also collected data about the different emotions that students in our class were feeling on the first day of school. Then we turned that data into a graph!
