Two free autism workshops by Positive Partnerships

Two Day workshops from 9.30am-2.30pm, Free

 

1. Richmond (Parents and Carers): 20 & 21 February, 2024

Amora Hotel Riverwalk Melbourne, 649 Bridge Road, Richmond.

 

This workshop is for parents, carers, grandparents, and kinship carers who support a school aged child on the autism spectrum (or still considering/undergoing assessment). The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Diversity of autism
  • Understanding sensory processing
  • Understanding behaviour
  • Working together 

Free morning tea and lunch will be provided.

2. Traralgon (School Staff): 27 & 28 February 2024

5 Airfield Road, Traralgon

 

This workshop will provide a unique opportunity for teachers and school leadership to increase their knowledge and skills in supporting students on the autism spectrum. Schools are encouraged to have staff attend in teams of 2-3 to maximise the whole school approach to inclusive education. 

 

Please note that this workshop is available to teachers/school leadership. Education support/teachers assistants are not able to attend.

People Outdoors: Camps for People Living with Disability

‘Adventure For All’ People Outdoors, a program of the Australian Camps Association, was established in 1989 to provide outdoor recreation for people of all ages living with disability. Our programs include two-night weekend through to four-day residential camps held during the school holidays. Our participants are looked after by our team of disability support workers for the duration of camp.
