The Library Shelf

Welcome back to all students and parents with an especially warm welcome to all our new students and families for 2024. I would like to introduce you to the school Library and let you know who we are. My name is Fiona Haynes and I am the school Librarian. Working alongside me are Cassie Scott and Karen White. 

We are blessed to have a terrific school Library and our shelves are full of the latest titles. We have a wide variety of genres, including our ever-expanding manga and graphic novel collection. We also stock a terrific range of beautiful non-fiction books as well as magazines. Student suggestions for new books or series we may not have, are always welcomed.

We also have access to a huge collection of e-books and audio books. These can be accessed via the library catalogue which can be found on the Schoolbox homepage. E-books and audio books can be read or listened to on any device at home. Students just need to sign in using their school password to access this collection. For our younger students, Storybox Library is a great resource of online picture books. This is also accessed via the library catalogue. Class teachers will be able to provide log in details.

We are open at lunchtime for all students and are a popular place to enjoy a variety of activities from reading, studying, playing card and board games, building lego or chatting quietly with friends. 

We love getting to know the families of our students, so if you have any queries, concerns, need assistance accessing ebooks or audio books or even want some reading suggestions for your children, please do not hesitate to give us a call or send an email. We look forward to hearing from you.
